Written by // Meadowcroft Wines Categories // Catch The Buzz

SONOMA, CA—Two sets of duos will take the stage at the October performance of Songwriters in Sonoma.  Maria Mandrussow and Katherine Paige will be joined by Robert and Amy Ethington for the 10th performance and what may turn out to be the most unique show to date.   Set for Thursday, October 20th at 7:00 p.m. at the Meadowcroft Wines tasting room at 23574 Arnold Drive/Hwy 121 (at Cornerstone Sonoma) admission is $15 per person and includes one glass of wine.  This is a 21 and over show.
Maria Mandrussow and Katherine Paige formed their duo in 2009, when a girl from the city and a girl from the country came together and created a shocking harmonic sound.  Their lyrically driven songs combine unique and contrasting vocal harmonies with acoustic guitars giving rise to a soulful organic sound that reaches a broad mix of audiences.  They draw inspiration from a wide range of genres, from Indie folk and country, to rock, classical and ambient.  These women bring their open minds and passionate hearts with them to every performance and will charm you both on and off the stage.
Robert Ethington is a singer-songwriter whose music is creating a local buzz for its clever honesty and spirited song crafting. His first album, Growing & Dying, was released in June of this year and has been described as “real music for the populous that tickles the mind while calming the soul.”  Robert was raised on the deep roots of gospel hymns and weekend revivals.  His earliest musical memories consist of going on the road with his father’s band to sing in churches and local talent shows.  Robert’s wife Amy joins him with soulful harmonies at all of his shows.
